I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the positive side, the historic building with a lovely patio and comfortable rooms were highlights. However, the prices seemed a bit high. The service was exceptional, but there were a few hiccups here and there. The location was beautiful and peaceful, although some areas lacked loungers. Dining was good but pricey, especially for the quality. Overall, it was a decent stay with room for improvement.

The hotel had some issues with sound insulation in the rooms, making them noisy from corridor and adjacent rooms. The carpets felt dirty, and the shower had weak water power. However, the rooms themselves were large, well-furnished, and comfortable, offering a mix of positives and negatives.

7.2/10

The hotel offers spacious rooms with a large bathroom, dressing room, good size bedroom, and a small 'sitting' room overlooking the courtyard – a comfortable option for guests looking for extra space. However, some rooms may feel dated and in need of refurbishment, with issues like poor water power in the showers and noise from creaking pipes. Room service requests were slow, and the first room allocated had a leaking AC, resulting in a damp ambiance.

Rooms

The rooms are spacious and provide a good amount of comfort, with an extra sitting room for a relaxing experience.
Service

However, some staff seemed to have a less accommodating attitude, affecting the overall experience.
Location

The hotel offers spacious rooms with good amenities, but some areas need improvement. The service is excellent, while the location is ideal for business and relaxation. The dining experience had some shortcomings, but the facilities were satisfactory overall.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious, with a large bathroom, dressing room, good size bedroom, and small sitting room overlooking the courtyard. Some areas need upgrades, and carpets feel dirty. The shower had low water power, and noise from creaking pipes and downstairs was disturbing. Room service requests were slow. The bathroom felt old and dirty in some parts. The first room allocated had a leaking AC and a tiny bathroom with no towel racks, but the size was adequate and well-equipped.
Service
9.0
The staff was friendly, nice, and smart, assisting with various needs. They were helpful with directions, recommendations, and ensuring a smooth transition to a safari. The rooms were clean, and the laundry service and food quality exceeded expectations.
Location
8.0
The location was my favorite, perfect for business and relaxation, although surrounded by buildings. There were many nice sitting areas, and the pool provided a relaxing spot despite shading early. Close access to exotic Keekorok Lodge, but with security measures like high walls with razor wire.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience had some issues, with late start times not matching a 5-star hotel's standards. Limited breakfast options and some disappointments with specific items. However, staff were attentive with coffee orders and provided necessary items like butter and jam.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers various facilities, including room service, car hire, dry cleaning, housekeeping, shops, laundry, airport shuttle, valet parking, shuttle service, welcome drink, tours, and ticket assistance. The facilities were satisfactory, leaning towards the positive side.

The hotel offers adequate rooms for conference delegates, although they may feel small for the price. The cleanliness and inviting atmosphere make up for it. Double rooms are a better option for couples but come at a higher cost. The location is lovely but not ideal for Wilson Airport. The dining experience varies in value, with portion sizes sometimes too large. Overall, a mix of positives and negatives with room for improvement.

Rooms
